30 Dalit houses set afire in Karnal

KARNAL: Dalits of village Salwan about 30 km from here had to face the ire of a violent mob on Thursday night, when the crowd carrying lathis and weapons attacked their houses.
Over 30 dalit houses were put on fire and raised to ground by angry mob of over 200 people. Four dalits including Ramo, Chatra, Mohinder and Oma were admitted to civil hospital Assandh in injured condition.The armed mob attacked them at about 9 pm when they were resting in their houses.
Main grouse of attacking crowd was that four Dalits who were attacked were allotted plots by Government had started construction over plots. The police is keeping vigil in village.
